The power of the music of the night...
So. I'm back from Buffalo. Geez... simply put, I now totally understand what people mean when they say "I was going to kill myself, and then I realized that to commit suicide in Buffalo would be redundant."
Well, that's not entirely true. I also saw Niagra Falls (from the American side this time) and they were still gorgeous. But then again, I'm a sucker for waterfalls... XD
Mmkay, I'm tired, so... my trip in bullet point form!! And under a cut, because I'm pretty sure most of you don't really care about this part of it. XD
-JetBlue airways is awesome. So much legroom!!! I love them. I'm taking them everywhere now... except I don't choose these things. XD
-I went for my second cousin's Bat Mitzvah... wow. My cousins do not know how to throw a party. There were ten teenagers other than myself, but they still hired a DJ. I feel bad for the guy, really. No one was dancing. Which sucks- I totally would have danced if more people were!! I love dancing!! I look ridiculous while doing it, but it's so much fun!! And I couldn't do it.
-My second cousins- the girl who had the Bat Mitzvah and her sister have issues. It's really obvious. I talked with the older one for about half an hour, and I could tell. Thier mother has done nothing about it. She's a destructive example of how denial is not just a river in Egypt. They clearly need help, and she refuses to see that her daughters have so few friends that there were ten of her friends there.
-By the way, talking about thier mother (my second aunt?)... she's a bitch. She kept trying to say how great Buffalo was by comparing it to and putting down New York City (which is where I live), especially with the school system. On the bright side, you should have seen her face when I informed her that the school I go to, which is very much in New York City is the second best high school in the state, beat only by another New York City high school, and that my school absolutely owns those in Buffalo. XD
-I am very much a New York (City) snob. And that is all I will say on the matter. XD
-I went with my dad, and... geez, he snores so loudly!! He actually woke me up THREE times!! And then I couldn't get back to sleep for ages afterwards either. One time I listened to the entire Phantom soundtrack while waiting for sleep to come. Simply put, it was not the best night's sleep I've ever had.
-I am not going to SUNY Buffalo. I checked it out. Geez... such an ugly campus, and not that great of a school either.
-But it wasn't all negative!! As I said, I saw Niagra Falls again, and while it's not as spectacular from the American side as it is from the Canadian side, it's still gorgeous.
-And there were other, small things. I did have time to just chill, which was nice. And beyond my second cousins and... second aunt? the family I met while there were awesome, and it was interesting talking to them. And we ate at this little restaurant that was connected to our hotel that was absolutely adorable. It really wasn't as bad as this probably makes it seem.
And uh... I was at a gift shop by Niagra Falls, and they had all these beautiful postcards for really cheap so... who wants one? First six people to comment with thier address/leave a comment and then message their address to me get one!! Postage isn't really a problem. They really are pretty... :D
