Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip started out really well. The pilot was really good. The acting was fantastic, the concept was amazing, etc. Since then it got worse and worse until even I, one of the people who will insist that something is good even if it's not if they've seen it from the beginning, stopped watching it with the episode B-12, where a plot twist happened that was so obvious I didn't see it, just because I wanted to think that the writers and executives would be smarter than to do that. It's really sad, the concept is still good, and the acting is phenomenal, except the actors have nothing to act: the writing is awful. Since that fateful episode, I've caught glimpses of the plot, because my mother still watches it for some reason. Yesterday my mom turned it on (she still TiVos it) and I figured, why not watch it? I don't have anything better to do anyway. 10 minutes into the episode, I remembered why not. The plot is unrealistic, certain things are stupidly obvious, and important plot developments and explanations are confusing and unclear. While the acting is still good, it's the last thing about it that is, and it's very obvious why they're not making a season 2.
In other news, I called my camp to find out what musical I'm doing, but apparantly they don't have that information until orientation. Unfortunately, orientation isn't until less than a week before camp starting. But at least I'm back in musical theater, and Sr. Chorus should be fun.
And Jenny asked about the lack in my My Life in 5 Minutes, to which my reply is: I would have them if my life were more interesting. However I go to at least New York City's most boring high school socially ever, and I assume you don't really care about how I sleep until 12 most days now. That all should change when camp starts though, so I will start doing that again then.
