arthoniel: (Star Trek- Bondage Fun Time)

I could've made an LJ post about how awesome I am that I read all seven Harry Potter books in roughly as many days.

I could've made an LJ post along the same vein about how I found so much Harry Potter-related stuff in my room from when I was younger, and how I realized that I was, in fact, a Good Kid. Because, without even realizing it, I was a total nerd back then too.

I could've made an LJ post about how super special mega foxy awesome hot Robert Downey Jr. is, and how there really is just no look he can't pull off. I might've then mentioned how I finally saw Tropic Thunder the other day, and fansqueed over blond, blue-eyed RDJ with an Australian accent.

I could've made an LJ post about how we're getting Snowpocalypse Part II up here in New York, and how I've never known it to snow so much in one winter. Or, if I have, it was a while ago, and I don't really remember it. While discussing that, I might've mentioned that I'm glad that the NYC snow plows are actually doing their job this time around... because the plows are constantly scraping the street beneath my window. But at least this time around people won't die because cars can't get places due to snow.

I could've made an LJ post about the tragedy in Arizona this weekend and how, when I first heard about it, I ran to the internet, trying to find out what's going on... and when I saw the details, before I the sadness, shock, and horror could set in, my first thought was "Oh thank god, it's not too many people. It's not like a place got bombed again." and how that thought then disturbed the crap out of me.

I could've made an LJ post that would've been similar to the previous one, but with a different tone as it discussed Jon Stewart's response to what happened in Arizona, and how he's really an incredible writer and speaker at times.

I could've made an LJ post about the flooding in Brisbane, and how scary somelthing like that is, and how I hope everyone's okay.

I could've posted about any of those things. But I didn't. Why not?

Because THIS has taken over my brain. And it is amazing. If you are a guy, or have ever heard guys going off about how difficult it is to remove women's clothing, or are a girl, then it is worth a look. It won't take but 5 seconds of your time! And it'll make your day that much brighter~

So I just finished re-reading Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. Again.

lksjdlfkjsdlfkjsdkfj CEDRIC WHY.

It actually made me cry.

Again.

God, it's so good. And it makes me cry so much. BUT IT'S SO GOOD.

Also. The Black Butler DVDs. They technically come out on the 11th. I've already seen that they have them early in Image Anime. I WANT THEM SO BAD WHY AM I SO POOR I CAN'T AFFORD THEM UNTIL AT THE EARLIEST AFTER I BUY ALL MY TEXTBOOKS AND SEE HOW MUCH MONEY I HAVE LEFT OVER, ASSUMING I HAVE MONEY LEFT OVER I'M POOR WHY.

TL;DR... Even though I'm practically an advertising agent for Black Butler for FUNimation... I can't buy the DVDs to Season One, Part One. And it makes me want to die. Because I'm poor, and cannot afford the things I want.

...Um. It's 3:30 in the morning now... and it's the second night I've been up this late. Today, (by which I /technically/ mean yesterday, but... whatever) I slept in until four. PM. So... yeah. My brain is in a weird place right now, and I'll shut up.

BUT CEDRIC. WHY. AND BLACK BUTLER... OR THE LACK THEREOF. WHY.

Right. I'll go continue to die inside now.
arthoniel: (Star Trek- Bondage Fun Time)

Oh, mistakes and misunderstandings. You so funny. Basically, if you saw my last (now heavily friends-locked) entry... it's all resolved and okay now. Just so you know~

In other news... two things that I saw recently that were awesome.

The Nutcracker. I love living in New York, since that fact allows me to do things every so often like go to Lincoln Center and see the New York Ballet's The Nutcracker and... sldfjdljsdflkdjs it was so beautiful and the music is so iconic and sldjfsdlfjsd. It was wonderful. Especially how there are children in it. I am a bumbling, fumbling, idiot child who can't walk across a flat surface properly... and then the adults... well, there is a reason that the ballet is so famous. It was simply extraordinary. Although, if you look up a synopsis of the story of The Nutcracker... it is the trippiest story ever. I'm just sayin'.

Tangled. SLDKFJSLDKFJSDL THIS IS WHY I LOVE DISNEY. I wanna go see it again. And again. And again. It was so good. It was everything I love about Disney- the only difference is that it was computer animated, and not hand drawn. But. sldfkjsdlkjfs SO GOOD. If you haven't seen it yet, you should.

I started re-reading the Harry Potter series yesterday. It has become my winter break project to re-read all of Harry Potter, read Othello, finish re-playing TWEWY, and re-play Ace Attorney: Investigations. So I started yesterday. I'm already halfway through Chamber of Secrets. I've so got this.

...Huh. I've been rambling on for a bit, haven't I? Aight. I'll shut up now.  :D

ETA: Lawl, I lied. I'm bored. So have a meme!

Under a cut, to save your flists~ )

arthoniel: (Ouran- Realistic Kyouya)

...So I saw Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part One last night.

skdfjlsdkjflsdkj IT WAS SO GOOD.

I wanna see it again now.

I also saw Sunday in the Park with George yesterday.

lskdjflsdkjflsls STEPHEN SONDHEIM.  <3

I wanna see the version with Bernadette Peters now.

...I just broke 21k on my NaNoWriMo. I'm so screwed.

......I also have to do my homework, and I dun wanna.  DX

Where's my cloak when I need it?

Lastly, I got 12 hours of sleep last night. It was AWESOME. I've missed that. This weekend has just (for the most part) been a good one for sleep. Friday night/Saturday morning was not quite as much, but whatevs. (Yes, I did just use that word.)

Also. IT'S ONLY 4:30, WHY IS IT ALREADY DARK OUTSIDE!? *cries*

"There's something sweet, and almost kind... but he was mean and he was cold and so refined!" (points to icon)

arthoniel: (Outbreaks of Stupid)
Countdowns:
Yankee Game with Zija: Tommorow!!!
Avatar: The Last Airbender Book 3 Fire, Chapter 1 The Awakening:  21 days!!!

So apparantly none of Evan's friends like Amanda... wierd. Oh well, they're stupid. Amanda is awesome!

So I went to go see Harry Potter 5 agian in IMAX today. It was pretty cool, and now I totally and completely get what [profile] _loudnproud_means when she says that Malfoy should have said "I am a legend now". Seriously, nearly every time he was onscreen, I just closed my eyes and listened to the wierdness that was Zhao talking to Harry Potter. Maybe I should read some of that Avatar-meets-Harry-Potter fanfic...
arthoniel: (Eowin)
I know I was kind of vague yesterday, but I said I don't want people to know, so I can't tell either. Infer what you like from that.
And I have finally and officially drawn Nicole into the world of Harry Potter. She said that she hated Harry Potter, but she had never read any of the books, but now she's bought Harry Potter: POA, and she likes it, so I'm just like, "it's okay that you were wrong, I origionally thought the same thing about LOTR, it's fine, and I SO TOLD YOU SO!!!" which I know is completely obnoxious, so I only said that in my head. I'm crazy, aren't I?
Switch day at camp tomorrow!! It was supposed to be today but... whatever. And it still rocks, so yay!
arthoniel: (Hermione)
It's odd, every time I tell someone I love the Harry Potter series, and I want to try to read 1-6 before I start 7, and that's why I'm being anti-social and sticking my nose in a book, the person who I'm telling always finds the need to tell me that the Harry Potter books are awful, and take up my time so that in a period of time (assembly) where I could have read at least 20 pages, I've only read two. Well, people can say that all they want, meanwhile Harry Potter is our generations cultural phenomenon, like the Beatles were to our parents generation, J.K. Rowling is the world's most widely read woman ever, and on the 21st the entire country will be basically shut down because everyone will be reading Deathly Hallows. And if you don't like Harry Potter, well then you can just kiss my ass, because it's one of best and most popular books of any genre of all time.
You can tell, I'm not in the best mood.
I should be in a good mood though. I woke up happy today, my alarm clock radio thing was playing Chasing Cars by Snow Patrol. It was raining, and even lightninging, which was awesome. Then I got up, and everything that morning just went really well.
Did I mention it was raining? It was raining a lot. So much so, that Queens was so flooded we were stuck in Queens for over two hours because of the flooding. At 10:00 when camp started, we were still in Queens traffic. I didn't get to camp until 10:45-11:00. From there, the day just kind of went downhill, starting with when I found that he wasn't there today. Then I found that I forgot to pack lunch... life just kind of sucked.
It wasn't all bad though- during assembly Musical Theater Rep. did one of their scenes, and when they first came on stage, I saw Sammi and decided to tease her to hell and back (in a good way!) because of her costume which was fairly ridiculous on everyone, but she's the one there that I know well enough to do that. Then I saw Johnny. He was dressed up as a girl, singing about how beautiful he is. Yes, I realize that's hypocritical, but I will never forget today's assembly...
Life could be worse though. And to cheer everyone up, here's a funny picture!

arthoniel: (Hermione)
So I didn't talk about it much, but yesterday kind of sucked. I fell on my ass, in front of the world, not one, not two, but three times at camp, and a girl who shall remain nameless was a total whore. Again. Not that girls being whores is something new to me, but still.

Anywho, today was a lot better though, we ran through the show and it wasn't too bad, and I spent a lot of time with him, and I finished Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, so now I only have 5 super long books to go...
But still, life is good, so I am happy.

arthoniel: (Arwin)
Seriously, where does Scholastic go after Harry Potter: DH is out? It's not like they're going to have a new Harry Potter or anything...
I would also just like to mention, if anyone spoils Harry Potter 7 for me, I will hurt them and then kill them. Slowly. Painfully. Seriously.
I know I live in New York City and am used to it, but when people drive past 97th street with thier car radios on full blast when my Pirates of the Caribbean soundtrack is playing, I need to kill them.
And since I was bored, I went on Blogthings:

You Are Most Like Liv Tyler

“I don't want to spend so much time obsessing about myself.”

You Are An INFP

The Idealist

You are creative with a great imagination, living in your own inner world.
Open minded and accepting, you strive for harmony in your important relationships.
It takes a long time for people to get to know you. You are hesitant to let people get close.
But once you care for someone, you do everything you can to help them grow and develop.

In love, you tend to have high (and often unrealistic) standards.
You are very sensitive. You tend to have intense feelings.

At work, you need to do something that expresses your personal values.
You would make an excellent writer, psychologist, or artist.

How you see yourself: Unselfish, empathetic, and spiritual

When other people don't get you, they see you as: Unrealistic, naive, and weak

You Can Hang With the Guys and the Girls

You've struck a good balance between girlie and laid back.
You can keep it casual but when you dress up, you are as girly as the next girl.

You are a Romantic Realist

Okay, so you fall in the middle.
You know that love isn't like a greeting card...
Yet you can always find a greeting card to describe your feelings.

You are the best of both worlds
Girly yet independent, dreamy yet serious.
Almost any guy can find balance with you.

You Are Aphrodite!

A total shining star with a ton of admirers
And no wonder: you live life to the fullest!
When things get bad, you can easily take off to a happier place
But occasionally, you need to deal with problems head on

You Are A Blue Girl

Relationships and feelings are the most important things to you.
You are empathetic and accepting - and good at avoiding conflict.
If someone close to you is in pain, it makes you hurt as well.
You try to heal the ones you love with your kind and open heart.

You Are 64% Lady

Overall, you are a refined lady with excellent manners.
But you also know when to relax and not get too serious about etiquette

You Are a Natural Beauty!

You're the kind of beauty that every guy dreams about...
One that looks good in the morning - without a stich of makeup
That's doesn't mean you're a total hippie chic though
You have style, but for you, style is effortless
arthoniel: (Hermione)

Having had a day to reflect on it, and discuss it with my friends and all, I have come to the conclusion that Harry Potter: OOTP is probably my favorite of the Harry Potter movies. It was all so, to borrow a word, streamlined, and while many scenes from the book were cut that would have had so much potential on film, it was still utterly fantastic. Harry Potter: POA was also really good because it was dark and all, but it - the movie and the book - was just one giant trailer for the next books/movies. It sets up some things that make major plot points possible, but it doesn't have all that much to do with the war on Voldemort.
I have to say, Harry Potter: OOTP would actually be a perfect movie to see with a bunch of school friends, or entirely insane friends, because this would be so awesome to shout stuff at.

Okay, I'm done ranting about the movie (in a good way!) for the second time in less than 24 hours.
arthoniel: (Default)
Yeah, so I'm happy. I had almost a perfect day... it would have been perfect if it hadn't been so hot and all, but it was still really good. In theater we finished blocking the show, and now we can start running it. Our assembly today was awesome. We had a pianist, Alpin Hong come in, and he did an Italian thing and some old piece because he had to, but he ended with Rhapsody in Blue, which is one of my favorite pieces for the piano ever, and the best thing was when he started off with the classics- the theme to the Legend of Zelda, the theme to Mario Bros. and the Darth Vader theme. He was so cool. Then, chorus was... well, chorus. But swim was mostly pretty cool, we just sat, talked, listened to music, etc., which was cool. Plus, going up to swim I saw Jackie and Coral, and since it's Coral's birthday today (happy birthday Coral!) they had chocolate chip cookies, and they gave me one. It was actually pretty good.
But the best part of today was after I came home, I changed, and then I went out to see a SCREENING OF HARRY POTTER 5!!! I know I'm bragging and all, but still. It was really good. It was really different from the book, they changed a lot and had differnet characters do different things, but in a 500+ page book turned into a movie, you kind of expect that. I just have to say though, if you haven't read the book, the movie is going to be very confusing.

So, yeah, life is good.
