Mmkay, first things first.

YOU GUYS ARE SO VERY, VERY AWESOME. I love you all- you helped me out so much yesterday when I was feeling badly... I LOVE YOU GUYS!!!

Also... I just had one of the most awesome trips to Barnes & Nobles EVER today. I was there, and I saw (and bought) the Twilight movie (I know, I feel like such a failed Twihard for not having gotten it before...), the second book in the Beka Cooper series by Tamora Pierce, Bloodhound, and the Star Trek prequel to the movie!! I was actually so happy when I really looked in the last one- I knew it existed, and I'd seen it before, but I wasn't sure whether or not I actually wanted to spend the money for it... and then I looked inside, and saw that it involved something truly awesome with my favorite Star Trek character ever. And that's all I'll say on it- I don't want to spoil you guys~~ Also, because I haven't read it yet... ^_^;;

Oh, and as soon as I finish with this, I'm putting up a new Secret Life of Dolls. So... uh... sorry to spam you guys, but... yay it's back?

I've kinda decided to screw the countdowns... I don't know, they just get kind of mundane...

One, the Stephen Schwartz concert was AMAZING!! They had some really good people sing his best songs, and it was awesome, and then Stephen Schwartz himself came out and sang "For Good" from Wicked and I died from happiness. XD

b- DUMBLEGAY!!!! It was one of those things where I hadn't thought about it before, but once she said it, it made perfect sense!! And now, I see him so much better. :D

Fourthly, Halloween is next week!! I'm wearing my Mai costume again, and I'll be at nature_gurl's apartment building, and it's going to rock, and I'll tell you more about it when it actually happens. XD

Whenever I finally get to see Avatar: Three days... I think. Maybe less if I can get it earlier, but I am definately seeing it on Saturday no matter what.

So I had the pleasure of taking the PSAT's today. It was wierd... I usually do really well in Math, and totally screw up anything having to do with English on these kinds of things. Today though I did really well in English, answering every question with time to spare on each English section so I got to doodle in the margins of the test booklet, but I died in Math, not getting the chance to answer 3 questions in both Math sections. Ugh... and then because the test went on for so long, and we have ridiculously early lunch periods, I missed 20 minutes of lunch. But then, last period, I had a U.S. HISTORY TEST!!! And on top of that, the U.S. test was so long I had to stay for a little while after school was over to finish it, which meant that I missed my school bus and had to take the subway home. Fun. And now I get to babysit two little kids (aged 5 and 8 ish?), although that actually shouldn't be too bad, I start at 7 and they go to bed at 8, so then I just watch TV until 10 when their mother comes home. Still though, it's just the whole mentality.

Oh, and I'll post my extrordinarily late cosplay pics up tomorrow, I just want to Photoshop them some so they don't look really bad...

So I return to Livejournal!! I'm sure you're all thrilled. XD I'm sorry I was gone for so long, but I have the World's Crappiest Internet. It literally didn't connect at all all weekend, and yesterday I was just trying to catch up on my fpage. I didn't even catch up all the way...

So, news of this weekend:

Friday:
Avatar!! Yays!!

( I guess technically these would be spoilers if you haven't seen the episode already, even though there isn't that much... )

Saturday:
I went to go see Elizabeth: The Golden Age with

nature_gurl, which was alright. It probably would have been better as a movie if you had rented the DVD, or at least it will be better like that when the DVD comes out. Basically, the movie was fine, and Cate Blanchett is one of my goddesses of acting ~~since she was in LOTR, which is what qualifies any god or goddess of acting~~, but as a movie, it was just okay. But still, it was fun seeing her again, and then there was a street fair nearby the movie theater on 42nd street, so we went there before the movie and browsed all the cheap jewelery, and filled up on street fair food, like Nutella crepes and lemonade, and some beef-y thing that she had. So that pretty much rocked.

Sunday:
Not much happened, I did my homework and all that kind of stuff, but one awesome thing did happen: I got an awesome, shiny, new cell phone!! Really, I got the Verizon EnV, and it's awesome and I love it and it's fantastic. I'll probably actually post a pic ~~or three~~ of it when I finally am able to do a pic dump on here. XD

Yesterday (Monday):
Well, Mondays generally suck, but Heroes was yesterday so:

( Okay, these really are spoilers, providing that you haven't seen Heroes yet. And I'm not sure if I already said this, but the cut before this one is for Avatar. XD )

Today:
OMG I miss my House!! Really, why aren't they showing the episode this week? I asked my parents, but got a complete non-answer from them so...

Okay, PSATs tomorrow... it doesn't actually matter, since it doesn't actually mean anything, but I still have to do really well. There's this National Merit Scholarship thing, and they only accept people to be even semi-finalists for it if they are in the 98th percentile of the PSATs or above, and now it turns out that BOTH MY PARENTS WERE SEMI-FINALISTS WHEN THEY TOOK IT, which means that now I have to be too. They say that it's okay if I'm not, and that it's not mandatory or whatever, but then they also said that they know I can be one if I really want to be, which in English means I have to be at least a semi-finalist for it. GAH. But why be sad? The PSATs mean that I miss most of my classes tomorrow, so... um.... I miss most of my classes tomorrow!!

The last thing, I promise: I've decided to start making things for my kinda-newly formed deviantart account, but I'm not sure what I want to draw... I'm thinking I'll do the Zuko/honor comic (you know which one I'm talking about

_loudnproud_), but if you guys have any requests, so long as they're not shipping Zuko with anyone, I'll attempt to do it! XD

My friends are so annoying... we had two whole class periods to work on a project that we were doing together, and what it is is that we have to make part of a newspaper on a certain topic during the Antebellum period of U.S. History (about 1800-1860), and so we're doing the role of women. Anywho, during those class periods, I was working on my part of our project- the political cartoon, and I was carefully drawing and writing and everything, and they were using the computers to go on Facebook.

Avatar The Last Airbender, Book 3 Fire, Chapter 4 (seriously peoples, does anyone know the name of next week's episode??): 6 days

So as I suppose you can guess, I was just watching Gone With The Wind. It's absolutely gorgeous, and Vivien Leigh as Scarlett O'Hara is amazing...

Not all that much happened today, but it was still a pretty awesome day. We (my family and I) went into midtown, and we got tickets for this tribute to Stephen Schwartz concert, which should be awesome!!

Then, we went to the Museum of Television and Radio (technically it has this new name, it's supposed to be named after someone who bought it, or at least contributed a frillion dollars, but I don't really care...) and we saw a little bit of a documentary of the Beatles on Ed Sullivan, and I got this very awesome Star Trek: TNG poster, which makes me happy. XD

Lastly, we went to the Broadway Comedy club to see this improv thing, which was absolutely amazing... the comedians there were fantastic, they thought so fast, and they were so good and everything... I was blown away. Now I'm trying to decide if I was discouraged by that, feeling like I'll never be that good, or if I was encouraged, and they've given me an aspiration to be as good as them.... I actually, honestly don't know.

Okay, I have a zillion fandoms to do, but I'm going to hold off on one of them until I finish it... there's 30 Rock which was yesterday, Avatar, and the fourth book in the Uglies Trilogy- Extras. Clearly, I'm waiting until I finish Extras. But to everyone out there, the whole series is absolutely fantastic, and if you get the chance, and you haven't already, you have to read it. XD

And before I get into the fangirlery, I would like to mention how wierd my parents are. First they say that they're okay with my fangirling, but then they ask me not to squee during House last night. So then I said something along the lines of "But that's what fangirling is. So are you okay with me being a fangirl or not?" and they basically said that I can be a fangirl, but I can't squee, which basically means that I can't be a fangirl. They have clearly not adjusted to me being a nerd yet...

Before I get into Avatar-related stuff, I want to do my regular post, so it's readable...

So I have the best dad in the world. I hope he appreciates this, because I usually don't say it, but he knows how into Avatar I am, and yesterday he got me the complete seasons 1 & 2!!! He is amazing, and I love him.

Now for today... on the way to school I took the Bronx Science bus as usual, but in our scramble to get a seat and not have to stand,

_loudnproud_and I got stuck with the screwed up double-seat in the very back of the bus. It was literally dented. It made for a most... interesting bus ride.

And then the rest of today was pretty normal. For my Math Sudoku project, I've decided to do an Evil Sudoku puzzle, because I'm really good at them, and because I get 10 points extra credit if I do an evil, or even just a hard one, so that kind of rocks.

And now I'm really desperate for my Global project. I need to do a Powerpoint presentation with my partner, so we went to the college library afterschool so we could make it together. Who would have thought that a college library wouldn't have any computers avaliable with Powerpoint???

On the other hand, it doesn't matter how good I am at procrastinating, there is nothing on the internet or in Encarta that will tell me the churches views on people and women and such during the Renaissance. All anything does is tell me a history...

Second of all: How the hell did Alec Baldwin not win best comedic actor? He totally should have. The only other person who it would have been okay with me if they won would have been Tony Shaloub (my apologies for butchering the spelling) for Monk. But he didn't win either.
Third of all: How did some guy from Boston Legal that no one even knows beat out Hugh Laurie as House, Kiefer Sutherland as Jack Bauer and whats-his-face as Tony Soprano for best dramatic actor??? Hugh Laurie should have won, and the only other person who could have in my eyes is the Tony Soprano actor (what is his name anyway?), but neither of them did. Some random guy from Boston Legal did, and the only reason I can remember the name of the show at all is because William Shatner is on it.
Fourthly: Why didn't Masi Oka win best supporting actor in a drama? He is the awesomest character I have ever seen, and he needs to win it. Like, now. Because, really, how is anything going to beat "Mr. Issac!" in his Japanese accent while he's holding up the Spock fingers?
And lastly: What the hell is "Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee"? Because it really swept everything in the movie/miniseries category, but I've never heard of it.... And how come Matthew Perry's TV movie didn't win anything? It should have won everything just because Matthew Perry was in it, and he's awesome.

And my Emmy squee is over. At least it is on the internet. For now.

So my brother is listening to his audiobooks on his MP3 player, except he has his Fly Pentop Computer speakers hooked up to it, and he doesn't seem to have a grasp on the concept of not turning the sound all the way up, so if my post seems kind of... out of it, it's because I am.

And I'm officially cosplaying as Mai on Friday, so here's to hoping I get my costume finished on time!
