arthoniel: (NaNoWriMo- Too Much Blood in my Caffine)

((ooc: So NaNoWriMo is in 10 days and... well, I have my setting together awesomely, but... I have no real plot. And I don't know my main characters that well either, so... I figured I can at least try to change one of those things.

Basically, would some of you/any of you/all of you be willing to RP any of your characters with me, as I play my main character? I want to get a better grasp on her voice, and I figure that the best way to do that is by... actually using her voice. You can use any muse that you want, or if you really want to be awesome, more than one? I just... need to figure out how she'll respond to different people.

By the way, this is a Dressing Room setting, but the room itself is just a regular lounge. I just wanted to make it a Dressing Room in case they want to go and... I dunno, play tennis or something. Oh, and this would be her intro.))

*With a carefully constructed "I don't give a shit" look on her face and her hands in her baggy sweatshirt pockets, Jessica walked into the room, looking more at the floor than the lockers and doorways around her and the staring classmates in the classroom she just left. Which makes one think she'd have seen the chair in her path before she tripped over it considering how it was sitting there on the floor, but she found herself trying not to look embarassed as she picked herself up from the ground after doing just that anyway.*

What the fuck... what idiot puts a chair right in the middle of the fucking hallway...

...the fuck? They better not try to bitch me out for not going to the office now.

*She looks up at him with a glare... one that's meant to cover the slight blush in her cheeks over having been seen tripping over the chair, but doesn't quite do the job. She then purses her lips, and fully stands up, looking at him with carefully dull, disinterested eyes again.*

...You owe me what?

((ooc: Uhh... dude, do you understand how LJ RP works? For instance, in this post, I'm always in character, unless I say otherwise. So unless you put what you're saying in the double parenthesis or whatever you use to show being ooc, I'm going to assume that you're saying it IC, to Jessica, rather than me. Also, I like RPing on LJ better. There's more reaction time, more time to really think out the characters' responses, you can be more descriptive, and they're easier to access than a saved AIM conversation... assuming you remembered to save it in the first place.))

Phoenix Wright was sitting at a seat along the side of the wall outside the principal's office, pen in hand and poised to start writing upon the first of the pile of papers upon his clipboard. He then adjusted the sky blue beanie on his head, a slight frown on his lips. Phoenix had only started to get used to the sensation of the material around his scalp - it tamped down his spikes a bit, but as Trucy had made the hat, Phoenix couldn't help but wear it. He was enrolling her at this Academy, as he'd always felt that a good education would go a long way; the tuition was expensive, but he was sure he would manage.

He blinked at the sight of the girl as she tripped over the chair in the middle of the hall. Phoenix then let his gaze flicker over to the chair as it slid to a stop further down the hall. Standing up once he saw her fall, he placed the clipboard down on the seat next to him, and made his way over to the girl. He then bent over and extended a hand to her, a friendly smile on his face. "Hey, you okay? That looked like a nasty fall."

*Jess' embarassment at that fall just grew 10 times worse at someone having seen it. She glared at him slightly, and got up on her own, ignoring his outstretched hand. She glared at him a little, but not too much. He seemed like a nice guy- the cool uncle/older cousin type- and he clearly hadn't heard about her from the principal or anything yet. Of course, there was still a bit of a glare there, but it was more to hide the subtle blush on her cheeks over having fallen like that, and simply out of the habit of glaring at people than it was anger at Phoenix. She pressed her lips together for a moment, and then realized that she was supposed to say something. She really wasn't very much one for following the rules, but...*

...I'm fine. Thanks.

"...all right," Phoenix said, as he withdrew his hand, tucking it into the pocket of his hoodie. He didn't seem bothered by the fact that she had rejected his contact, instead accepting it as fact - he knew how teenagers were (even while his darling Trucy was far from hitting that point in her life). He then looked at the clock upon the wall, placing his free hand on his forehead and adjusting his beanie again - it was early morning, only around nine thirty, and he couldn't help but wonder why this girl was wandering around the halls of a school when she should be in class. Phoenix then lowered his gaze to Jessica, the look in his blue eyes warm and slightly amused. "You aren't in trouble, are you? It's a little early for school to let out," he teased gently, not knowing how she would respond.

*Ooh, wrong thing to ask, Nick. Her glare is now on the level of Edgeworth's, and her arms are crossed in the most defensive position possible.*

None of your buisness, asshole.

((ooc: AHH, I feel so bad calling Phoenix "asshole"... especially since yours is so nice!! (And you play him so well, too~) But she's just... a bitch. At least, at first she is, but... Nick! *epichugglomps*))

[[OOC: *hugs back* I'm glad you like him! It's always fun to do this type of thing, and I hope it helps you to flesh out her character more. ♥]]

Phoenix blinked momentarily at the retort before smirking lightly, a light chuckle escaping him. Her stance had reminded Phoenix so much of Edgeworth that he couldn't help but find it slightly amusing. "That's true - it isn't." He contemplated his next statement briefly. Phoenix figured that it wouldn't hurt to continue asking her some questions while she was here - she didn't seem to be in much of a hurry to go anywhere. "Okay, tell you what. To make up for that, why don't you tell me a little about this school? I'm thinking about sending my daughter here, and any first-hand perspective that I can get helps."

((ooc: Oh, yeah, he's awesome~ And it really is helping me find her voice- there really is no better way to get a character's voice than to actually use it~))

*She smirked herself. This guy wasn't so bad- either he's stupid, or doesn't care that she got into trouble, either of which was good for her. She glancedd to the side disdainfully at the mention of her school- she clearly didn't like it. At all.*

The school? Pff, it's crap. The teachers all play favorites, only giving a shit about the nerds who get, like hundreds in everything, and they just fail the rest of us and screw us over for nothing. Don't send your kid here, unless she's one of those perfectionist, straight-A students. It's a shit hole- I can't wait to get outta here.

*...This isn't true. She just doesn't do her work, and her teachers grade her accordingly... but she's one of those Bad Students. Plus, she's a teenager, so she feels like the world's out to get her.*
