Oh boy... this'll be interesting~
1) What, specifically, appeals to you about Ouran as a series?
Actually, I was just thinking about this myself the other day... one of the things I like about Ouran is that it's so frivolous, but so serious at the same time. If anything were to go wrong in any of the episodes, if the characters didn't get thier happy ending... nothing would really happen. It's not like the world would end or anything, some pretty rich people just wouldn't be as happy. But what they deal with... they're still real problems. They're not world-changing ones, but... when we fall in love, when our heart is broken, when we want to go on our own little mini-adventure for a day... these kinds of things actually matter to us. Not to anyone else, but when the Host Club manages to reconcile an arguing couple, or whatever else they may do, they still solve someone's problem, and they still make someone's life significantly better. They're not changing the world, but they're still changing somone's world. If that makes any sense.
2) Do you believe RPing improves your writing skills?
Yes. Yes yes yes. Yes yes yes yes yes. Absolutely. Writing as different characters, with different personalities in all sorts of weird situations? Seeing how characters change and react to different things that arise, and different people? Seeing how they grow and evolve from what they were, how they interact differently? Just watching them grow as people? And being the one who creates that? Yeah, I think it improves one's writing skils.
3) How much of New York is like movies say it is? Do you go to Times Square often?
Fff, oh god. It's... it actually is like the movies, except I also live through all the cut scenes as well. Oh, and the romance part of it, because if it's taking place in New York, it's generally a romantic comedy. Unless it's one of those films where New York gets destroyed, and that hasn't quite happened yet... but that's beside the point. But yeah, I do go to the museums, and Central Park, and you don't ever fuck with a New Yorker. We won't necissarily mug you, but we will curse you out. Also- tourists. For the most part, we don't mind them... unless they're standing in the middle of 5th Avenue with the I (heart) NY t-shirts and the cameras and the maps and pointing at some building and saying "OH MY GOD IT'S SO TALL!!!" when it's only 7 stories high. And they're taking up the whole sidewalk. Yeah, if you ever come, don't do that.
But I go to Times Square all the time. It's one of my favorite places in the City- it's so vibrant and incredible and beautiful and alive... so much humanity there, so many people... it's one of my favorite places in the world. I also know it like the back of my hand. It's the most amazing place... yeah. I go there a lot. XD
4) Do you drink, and if so, what?
Mmm... not very often. Every now and then I'll have a little white wine, or if a friend has alcohol at a party that I've never had before, I'll give it a taste... but never even nearly enough to get drunk or anything. Just to taste it... but I get drunk enough on life. I don't need alcohol for that.
5) High-fives or fistbumps?
Normally my answer to this one would be a high-five. But ever since fistbumps became "terrorist fist jabs" because Obama gave a fistbump to Michelle during the campaign last year, my answer has changed to fistbumps. Because they're really apparantly terrorist fist jabs, and that's hilarious. XD

Date: 2009-11-17 02:31 am (UTC)2. It changes often. Star Wars will probably stay as the most consistant. Just because as a series it can be discussed over and over on all sorts of levels.
3. Unlimtied. . .Probably Prince Edymindiam with full armor. Or something like that "Battle of Endor" costume.
4. The old Sailor Moon RP chats back on AIM over 9000 years ago. Back when you were but a twinkle in your father's eye. Actully I was. . .13 at the time so that would have made you. . .6 0r 7?
5. Flight. So long as it's at a decent speed. If I can fly no need to worry about a car/gas. I could always get to where I needed to go and if it came down to it can steal what I need easily enough with flight based powers.
