2) I wish I could just know French and Japanese. I would hate to learn it. But if I could just have information just transferred into me, like they do in The Matrix? I would love to have the French and Japanese programs installed in me.
3) OH CRAP, I'M LATE. Well, that's okay, I'll figure out some way to make it just in time.

I've wished the same thing. More obliquely, I'd see a person speaking a different language and be like, "I wish I knew everything that person knows." And then I realize how ridiculously creepy that sounds.

But what's the point of having language installation programs? Then you could just install the same language in everyone and you wouldn't need to do it. ... Unless it works like a Babelfish.

The thing is, for me, it's not so much about understanding what people are saying as it's about how French is just such a pretty language, and I'd love to be able to speak it. And Japanese is just cool. XD
