Independance Day
Jul. 4th, 2007 10:13 pmI truly feel bad for whoever came into the City to see the fireworks today. I really do. I don't really care about fireworks anymore, but if someone came into the City to see them, they got rained on so badly. So badly. Yes, the fireworks still went off, it's really pouring here.
I was watching the fireworks on TV because my parents made me, and it wasn't so bad. They had some good music to set the fireworks to, like several good patriotic songs, the Superman theme, and the Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl theme!! I was so happy, I was just sitting there, fairly bored, and it comes on, and that announcer woman says that it's the theme and all and I'm just like YES!!! And then I remembered that I was actually sitting in a room with people both of my family and not, so I couldn't really fangirl too much... but it was still really cool.
Yeah, so it wasn't just my family here tonight. We had some family friends come over for dinner too, Rob and Clara are my parent's friends, and one of their kids, Max, came over. Thier other kid, Alison couldn't make it, but that was alright. But the really cool thing about having Max come over is that he's going to be a freshman at my school next year, so I'm happy- I can haze him and everything, and no one will really care.
