So it's been 5 days since I saw you last... how have you grown?

I've kinda decided to screw the countdowns... I don't know, they just get kind of mundane...

So according to eljay, I haven't posted here in 5 days. And I have a perfectly good and legitimate reason for it too.

It's because my parents suck. A lot. Ages ago- literally years- they downloaded this program to my brother's and my computers. I won't say what it's called, because if any of you guys live with your parents, I don't want to give them any ideas and inflict this on you too, but basically what it is is a timer. My parents set how much time I can spend on my computer, and after that amount of time this little box/sign in thing comes up in the middle of the screen, and I can't move my mouse outside of it, effectively limiting my computer time. Before this summer, my computer time was limited to 45 minutes a day and it sucked, but I was able to deal with it because I hadn't discovered the joys of LiveJournal, along with it's fandom communities yet. Over the summer though, I was able to convince my parents to let me have unlimited time on my computer, because the program is rediculous. So I had unlimited-esq time (I could use the computer as much as I wanted between 8 in the morning and 11 at night) and I discovered this, and all of you guys, and everything was awesome. However, since school started, my dad's been wanting me to eat breakfast at the kitchen table before I go to school. This is literally impossible though, because there is NO TIME IN MY MORNING TO DO THAT. My dad however, being an asshole, refused to see that, and on Friday he cut back my time again, so I could only use the computer for an hour a day. I only just earned it back, and now I can metaphorically see all you lovely people again, but I wasn't able to do that before, which is why I haven't posted.

In cheerier news, I don't really have time to do full length posts about Avatar, Heroes and House, but I have a few little things (despide their smallness, they're all spoiltastic, so they're behind their repective LJ cuts):

Avatar:

Mike and Bryan, you're killing us (Zuko fangirls) with The Beach here!! You make him shirtless, you break Maiko up, we're all excited, and suddenly you put them back together again. Seriously, when are you going to break them up for good???

Azula and Ty Lee and Mai angst!! I was so waiting for that to happen, but mostly for the Azula angst. I mean, her brother's so angsty, she has to be too at least a little bit, and now she is, which is awesome.

Also, Azula's failed attempts at socializing and stuff were amazing. I laughed so much!!  "WE HAVE DEFEATED YOU FOR ALL TIME! YOU WILL NEVER RISE FROM THE ASHES OF YOUR SHAME AND HUMILIATION!!! ... Well, that was fun."  XD

Heroes:

Whoa... Elle is just like Azula!!! So I automatically love her now.  XD

I loved everything having to do with Matt and Nathan and Daddy Parkman... it was just awesome. All of it.

And Kensei needs to start being a bastard again. I know that he's nicer like this, but he's awesomer when he's an ass!! Kensei, I don't care how much you love Yaeko, BE A BASTARD AGAIN!!!

House:

Moar Chase plz!!!

OMG I love the religous moron guy!! I am so happy he finally punched House... I mean, House is awesome, but that was still pretty cool too.  XD

Okay, theory time: Foreman's back now, I think that the entire origonal team is going to come back to his team, and House is either going to have a really big team, or he's going to fire all the newbies. But I think the origonal team is definately going to be his team again.  XD

Okay, and some other stuff too:

One, the Stephen Schwartz concert was AMAZING!! They had some really good people sing his best songs, and it was awesome, and then Stephen Schwartz himself came out and sang "For Good" from Wicked and I died from happiness.  XD

b- DUMBLEGAY!!!! It was one of those things where I hadn't thought about it before, but once she said it, it made perfect sense!! And now, I see him so much better.  :D

3rd, PREVIEW FOR "THE AVATAR AND THE FIRELORD"!!! Now I know that Zuko is in it too, wearing his outfit from the last episode and everything, and I is very happy!!  XD  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GKr44tfb0Mo

Fourthly, Halloween is next week!! I'm wearing my Mai costume again, and I'll be at nature_gurl's apartment building, and it's going to rock, and I'll tell you more about it when it actually happens.  XD

I thought 'The Beach' was lame--I notice a pattern here with how awesome the episodes are--all the odd numbered ones tend to suck. =\ Ty Lee and Mai's pasts were not exactly abnormal, yet the reaction Ty Lee gave was ridiculous. As for Mai, it doesn't exactly excuse her lack of concern over her baby brother--now if we got some sign that she was resentful or something, maybe--but hell, while her mom might be a social climber, there's nothing that that confirms that they abused her. She stays quiet and behaves, she gets whatever she wants.

Gee, I guess that's how she got Zuko. She didn't do anything except what she was told to do directly by Azula, and she got him. There's a good message to send out, guys. XD

I just couldn't stand the Beach in the respect that for the minute or so of exposition we got for the secondary characters, we got nothing on actual development. Ty Lee is still a circus freak, Mai is still the apathetic whiner that only cares about Zuko, Zuko is still angry at himself and Azula is still...Azula.

And yes, I find her ineptitude with boys!issue to be...unnecessary. =p

Heroes is finally moving forward a bit, I'm glad to see that--it's about time Peter got up off his ass and did something. I'm still holding out for Kensei to be awesome, even if he's not a complete ass anymore. >D

I absolutely love the little family unit: Daddy Parkman, Molly and Big Bro Mo'. ^o^

I suppose... I mean, to each his own, but I thought that while Mai's reaction was over the top, Ty Lee has probably been called "circus freak" her whole life, or at least while she was in the circus, and she probably always laughed it off, but it still hurt, so to hear Zuko say that to her really upset her. But yeah, her past wasn't that bad, but I still thought it gave some valuable insights into their histories and pasts, which will come up again later and determine how they act in various situations. It might have been a little lame, but I think it was completely necessary.

Azula's incompetance with guys was also necessary, because it shows that she is still a person under all that calculation. She may be a bitch, but she's not completely inhuman, and I think that will affect some of her decisions later on too.

YES!! I am so glad Heroes is beginning to have a story again. I was getting sick of all the episodes of exposition- as awesome as they were, it gets a little repetitive.

And Kensei has to be an ass agian. He was too awesome a character when he was for them to not make him one again. XD

And zeh family unit of Matt/Mohinder/Molly is awesome. I would not mind living with them. XD

I dunno, if she says it's a compliment, why is she crying? I think it was more when Zuko actually imitated what he thought of her--yes, that was cruel, but the way that dialog was set up, it didn't seem to make the right point. Also, to explain it like that is kinda like how the Mai fans keep saying that Mai was probably abused and she's really good and whatnot--possible, but nothing solid to support such a thing. Sheesh, as it is, we still have nothing solid to go on if we're gonna prove Mai has positive qualities as a person. If you've seen 'Nightmares and Daydreams', it makes you question the Maiko-ship just a little more when you watch Mai closely.

It's nice to get insight, I agree--but what good is it if these things are never touched on again? This is the problem I find with Katie Matilla's writing--the scenarios she writes, the 'development' the characters are supposed to go through--they don't last past that episode. Do you honestly believe we're gonna see a situation where Azula's ineptitude with boys is going to come into play again? What about Ty Lee and her 6 sisters? Mai and her supposed soul-crushing childhood?

Sorry, I gotta stop right here and get something straight though.

Her parents made her hide her emotions? REALLY? Then how come her parents weren't the least bit emotionally reserved? Typically, to be taken seriously, one must practice what they preach. This I find curious--I know there are hypocritical parents out there, but all the same, this just doesn't fit the image. I hear people supposing that because her parents had already achieved their goals in the political and social field, they backed off--but that makes no sense. If you want to secure your position, you must carry on in an exemplary way, or you get deposed real quick.

It's writing like this that really makes me feel they just tacked on some typical story to make the kids relate to the characters or something. =p

We may have to agree to disagree on Avatar--but we can totally squee together over Heroes. >3

Anyone else hope that Molly and Micah get to meet again?

Yeah, we can agree to disagree about Avatar, but I have no problem squeeing about Heroes!! Micah and Molly have to meet again, because although they are young, I totally ship them, and it would be hard for them to get together if they never see each other again. Not impossible, but it would be so much cuter if they did. XD
